One of the first steps in getting a puppy from us is to fill out our                                  and return it to us in an email with whatever additional information you would like to share with us.  This application gives us some of the basic information needed to ensure that your family will be a good fit, and that we have a puppy (or litter on the way) that we feel would fit your family well.  Please answer these questions IN DETAIL, if you provide one word answers to these questions we will not reply to your application.

To be placed on our Waiting List we require a $200 Good Faith Deposit. This will be deducted from the deposit owed once your puppy is born (our deposits are $500, so if you have placed a Good Faith Deposit your Deposit would be $300 when your puppy is born).  Please understand Good Faith Deposits are for families dedicated to getting a Longdogia family member, as much as we are dedicated to our puppy families for life.  If you're going to continue to shop for a puppy from another breeder, please don't place a Good Faith Deposit.  The Good Faith Deposit is NON refundable.  

We breed our litters for our future show and breeding purposes FIRST.  So decisions on what puppies are available will likely not be known till those evaluations are made.  Picks will only be available to those who have filled out our application and have been approved. Please let us know if you have any questions about joining our family.  Our puppies stay here till 10-12 weeks of age, this allows for our evaluation process, appropriate vaccines, etc.  We do NOT send our puppies home at 6-8 weeks of age, please do not ask.  

When puppies are born we require a NON refundable deposit to hold a puppy for you. Deposits are $500, this amount is applied to the balance of your puppy. We allow 2 business days (48 hours) unless prior arrangements have been made to receive your deposit. We will place the puppy as SOLD going to your family once the deposit is received. If you change your mind once a deposit has been made, it is again - non refundable.  

(Good Faith Deposits are deducted from the $500, so a Good Faith Deposit Holder's balance would be $300).

Puppies from us are $2,000 on a spay/neuter contract with Limited AKC Registration (no breeding rights).

OUR HEALTH GUARANTEE:

Longdogia Dachshunds does everything within our power to ensure we are producing puppies from the healthiest of parents, we do extensive health testing and we provide a 30 day Health Guarantee for all of our puppies. All puppies sold by Longdogia Dachshunds will be up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of sale.  The new owner is expected to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 days of purchase and a copy of the examination must be returned to Longdogia Dachshunds within 10 days of purchase date.  The new owner is expected to continue the vaccinations as directed by Londogia Dachshunds using the Jean Dodds' Recommended Vaccination Schedule.  The dog should never receive the Leptospirosis Vaccine at any time within its lifetime.  It is the buyer's responsibility to take the necessary precautions to protect the puppy from dangerous or infectious situations until the puppy has completed its series of proper vaccinations.  All future liabilities and veterinarian bills will be the Buyers responsibility.

Longdogia Dachshunds will register puppies sold as pets only with Limited Registration which means the dog is recognized by AKC as a purebred dog but the dog may not be shown in AKC Conformation events (although it may be shown in performance events) and that if any puppies are born to the dog AKC will not recognize them.  Longdogia Dachshunds will register the puppy with the AKC and AKC Limited Registration Papers will be mailed to the new owners directly from the AKC.  We do not sell puppies/dogs just for breeding purpose.

Longdogia Dachshunds does not guarantee any puppy raised on the Raw Diet or other Diet other than a high quality kibble. All Puppies must be kept on the puppy food they are being fed at the time of sale or one approved by Longdogia Dachshunds and kept on a good/consistent exercise plan for life.             

Longdogia Dachshunds cannot guarantee size, weight, hair coat, skin conditions, temperament, conformation or training ability of said dog/puppy.  Any information given to you in these regards is simply the breeder’s educated opinion.  Many things can influence the growth and development of a dog/puppy.

Longdogia Dachshunds has a "Welcome Home Policy" which means:

If at anytime the purchaser finds that he/she can no longer care for this animal or does not feel that this animal is suitable for them any longer, The Purchaser agrees not to sell, place or abandon this animal to a shelter, rescue, or individual, but agrees to return this animal to the seller, Heather Ackby, at no cost to the seller.

PAYMENTS:

Payments can be made throughout the time your puppy is growing up with us. We do require that your puppy is paid for in FULL by the time he/she reaches 8 weeks of age, unless arrangements have been made for final payment at time of pick up. Personal checks are not accepted for final payment. We accept Venmo, PayPal (fees apply), Money Order, or Cash at time of pick up. Your puppy will be ready to join your family when he/she is 10-12 weeks old.

PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY:

We DO NOT ship our puppies in cargo - ever! Once your puppy is ready to join your family, you can come pick your puppy up from our home, or we also offer personal delivery of your new puppy.  We can meet you within 1 hour of our location free of charge.  Any distance over that will have a fuel charge depending on the area being traveled to. We do lots of traveling for shows, so we can usually work something out to shorten your drive, or ours if we are delivering. We also encourage you to fly here and pick your baby up in person and fly back with them under your seat. Please discuss this option in detail with us as there is lots of advanced planning if you are flying in.  There are also some individuals that do puppy/dog transport within the United States that we can discuss as an option.

** There is now a law about shipping puppies - if you find a breeder willing to ship you a puppy without knowing much about you or asking many questions - be aware! These laws are in place due to the volume of puppy mills that will sell and ship you a sick, unhealthy, poorly bred puppy.
