Welcome to Longdogia Dachshunds, located in the beautiful countryside of Tennessee. We are a small mother-daughter breeder/owner/handler team of miniature longhair dachshunds that started raising this fun loving breed in Rhode Island, in 2007. Whether it's for a loving pet, or a future show dog - our puppies are high quality dogs, with amazing temperaments, and tested to ensure they are free of hereditary and genetic issues related to this breed. Look for Longdogia Dachshunds beautiful dogs in shows all over TN, KY, GA, MS, AR, MO, and many other states we travel to!!
I worked as a veterinary/ICU technician for years, till a bad back and failed back surgery forced me into early retirement from that field. This background however, gives me some invaluable ties to the veterinary community to this day, with access to the "latest and greatest" trends in veterinary care, genetic testing, specialists, etc. Our goal is to show and breed on a small scale, dogs that are a true representative of the breed standard. All dogs and litters will be AKC registered, and free of genetic health problems.
Our dogs live indoors with us as pampered pets, we do not have a kennel, they enjoy their fenced in backyard, spend time lounging on the sofa or snuggled up in bed. They are raised and treated as part of the family, get plenty of attention, socialization, and lots of play time.
